CRADA - Argonne National Laboratory

Ninety-five percent of all obsolete cars or end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) are recycled. While this is impressive, private industry and the federal government wanted to increase the recycle rate of these vehicles. To achieve this objective, Argonne National Laboratory, the American Plastics Council and USCAR joined forces under the Cooperative Research and Development Agreement or “CRADA”.

Argonne National Laboratory asked Reel Impact to produce an event that would create excitement and further solidify the commitment of industry stakeholders to this research cooperative. To be successful, the event had to achieve the following objectives:

  • Clearly communicate the ELV recycling story
  • Convince stakeholders that recycling research is good for the environment and provides new profit-oriented revenue streams

The event included a sit down luncheon and presentations at a fully operational pilot recycling plant at Argonne National Laboratory in Chicago, IL. Find out how Reel Impact achieved the objectives of making a visually-challenging subject work well on camera and engaging technical and non-technical audiences in scientific presentations.
